Bombers Loose Ring McHardy Dressage

The Bombers McHardy Elliptical Dressage Loose Ring Bit is designed with cheek pieces that prevent pinching of the lips and gives a solid feel against the side of the face. They also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower than the loose ring and also introduces light poll pressure.

A horse shaking its head when bit pressure is applied or trying to put its tongue over the bit are classic signs the horse has a sensitive tongue. With this in mind the McHardy Elliptical Dressage was created with a medium port creating space for the tongue, relieving pressure. The flattened lozenge in the middle increases bar pressure and as a result extends the head and brings the nose in giving more control. The McHardy Elliptical Dressage slightly softens the tongue pressure, the lozenge is flattened so that it spreads pressure out over a bigger surface area.

The McHardy Dressage is available in Sweet Iron. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The double break, McHardy, is a flexible mouthpiece and will take the shape of the horses mouth.
